Ringtone Sales Are Dropping!

iphone-girl-praga-2If you enjoy any type of music for your iPhone ringtone, then you may find it interesting to know that the success of ringtone sales is not as good as it was expected to be. Sources have reported that ringback and ringtone sales have dropped 23% this year, which is odd and disappointing for the mobile phone industry. Many of these changes are because of all of the downloadable applications for the iPhone and other devices. This specifically allows customers to create their own customizations for their device so that they don’t need to purchase their own ringtones.

There are still music apps available for the iPhone, like Slacker and Pandora, which are giving a rise to mobile music. There are even more music mobile applications on the way, some of those being the version of Rhapsody for the iPhone. This is going to be the first on-demand streaming music application available for any mobile phone, and there also will be a similar application available for Europe. Both of these music apps do require monthly subscriptions, which may be a concern to customers, but it is suspected that many mobile phone carriers will decide to include these monthly music subscriptions within their monthly charges.
