You can practice your doctor skills by downloading the Amateur Surgeon iPhone app for around five dollars! This is something inspired by Adult Swim, and it stars a pizza delivery boy. He is into amateur surgery, and there are many different tools that you can use, like a stapler and pizza cutter. This is an app that is only available for users over 17 because of its content, but it is definitely a weird little app to add to your iPhone repertoire.
This is something that many users like because you can play a more bloody and strange version of Operation. If you are someone who enjoys Adult Swim regularly, then this may be right up your alley. This is something that you can use to improve your hand eye coordination and entertain yourself if you are waiting for the bus, the train, or even your doctor’s appointment. Many users that I know get so into it that they play it on a continuous basis so be warned that this app can be quite addicting! If you have always been meaning to get around to going to medical school, then this is your opportunity to practice your surgical skills for under five dollars.

If you are a fan of iPhone apps, then you should be getting excited for 2010. One of the newer games available in 2010 as an iPhone app is GTA: Chinatown Wars. This Grand Theft Auto app is already a game on PlayStation and Nintendo DS. It is the 13th Grand Theft Auto Game, so if you are a fan with an iPhone, then this is probably something that you are anticipating.
Chinatown Wars looks different from all of the other games because it works with a fully rotatable camera to provide more insight into the action. In this game, the player has the potential to take out as many cop cars as they can to escape the police. Basically, if the player accumulates more stars, they will have to take out more cops on every level. This is just another fantastic game to have available with you anywhere you go on your iPhone, which is exactly why it is much anticipated for 2010. The iPhone provides handheld action on a number of popular games, which is something that you can take advantage of on your daily commute, between classes, or even when you have some downtime at work. Get ready for this game in 2010!

I have to admit that I am one of the first people to constantly get on Facebook through my iPhone, and why wouldn’t I be? Pretty much all of my friends and family will update their Facebook profiles directly from their iPhones, especially since it is such a convenient way to stay connected and up to date. Still, one recent study is suggesting that adolescent girls may have depression caused by using Facebook too often.
There was a study done on 83 girls who were around the age of 13, and they found that the girls who spend more time on this social media site had higher levels of depression. The theory goes that all of this social media interaction, like texting and instant messaging, makes it easy for teens to have high anxiety and depression. I guess the moral of the story is to use Facebook in moderation, and don’t substitute it for real people in your life. Social media is a wonderful thing, and it provides the opportunity to connect with people all over the world. On the flipside, it also poses the risk of not truly connecting with the people that you see every day if you are using it too often.

Gambling itself can be quite addicting, so if you are someone who can’t control your gambling, then poker on the iPhone may be the exact choice for you! This will give you the opportunity to play as much poker as you want, but you don’t have to worry about losing all of your money. iPhone poker apps can be completely addicting, especially since it is always available at your fingertips. Have some downtime at work? Play some poker! Have some downtime before an appointment? Play some poker! Waiting to pick your kids up from school? Play some poker!
Interestingly enough, there are now some lawmakers in Texas trying to bring this same attitude to the great state by integrating Las Vegas style casinos. They want to do this to provide more money for the state of Texas, which is definitely what you will get from a casino establishment. It seems that all of the Texans that want to gamble are going out of state to do so, when all of that money could be benefiting Texas directly. There are gambling boats available over the border in Louisiana, and Vegas is always a plane ride away. Representatives feel that Texas would be the perfect place for Vegas style casinos since Texans are already interested in gaming.

Guitar Hero is the ever popular game with so many people, and I decided to do a little bit of research on my iPhone on the newer game DJ Hero to see if it would be a great Christmas gift. I’m thinking this would be ideal for friends or family, and it can be purchased conveniently online. If you are not online shopping with your iPhone already, then you are absolutely nuts. Having an iPhone is the best way to get ahead on your Christmas shopping because you can purchase all of your gifts online anywhere you would like.
DJ Hero is obviously from the makers of Guitar Hero, and it is advertised to be a fresh and new way to experience music and gameplay. This game features a variety of different musical styles, and it also has authentic turntable controllers. This will allow the player to scratch and spin 100 different songs to make unique party mixes. This is ideal if you have always wanted to be a DJ but have not had the equipment or training to do so. This is also a wonderful gift to give to any Guitar Hero fan in your family for Christmas because it should be a guaranteed hit, so to speak…

This may not be the most fun subject to talk about, but it is necessary to protect yourself from a DUI, especially around the holidays! It is never wise to drink and drive, and this Blood Alcohol Concentration Calculator iPhone app will allow you to make sure that you are safe behind the wheel. This app does have a disclaimer that it is not supposed to replace a real blood alcohol test, so you do need to be careful when you have anything to drink and get behind the wheel.
This app will calculate your weight, the number of drinks that you have had, and then give you your estimated BAC. This is a very important app because it also gives you a different percentage based on your gender. Men are known to be able to metabolize more alcohol than women, so you may have a different percentage whether you are male or female. The bottom line is not to drink and drive, especially around the holidays with all of the Christmas parties you may be going to. If you can, get a DD to come with you to your office party, or call a cab to take you home!

I have to admit that Fandango always sucks me in with all of those handy commercials they play for their website before your movie begins at the theater. Still, I can’t tell you how many times I have wanted to see the latest Brad Pitt/George Clooney/Drew Barrymore/you name it movie, only to have it sold out on me on opening night… Now I can use the help of my iPhone with this free Fandango app! This app is going to pull up all of the movies in your area in your zip code in a long list.
From this point, you can also check out the runtime, synopsis, trailer, and even poster art for the movie. After you have decided which delightful cinematic adventure that you want to see, you can purchase the tickets directly through your iPhone. If you are someone who braves the movies with all of the crowds on the weekend, then this is a definite must in an iPhone application. Fandango is a really catchy website, but what if you aren’t at home on your computer? If you are out to dinner and have suddenly decided to see a movie, then you can purchase the tickets before it gets sold out!

If you are absolutely the worst at remembering your friends’ and family members’ birthdays, then you need to immediately download the Birthday Reminder iPhone application. Of course, you can always get birthday updates on Facebook, but I’m the type of person that always forgets to check and looks like a bad friend. If you want to avoid this type of embarrassment, then let technology be on your side.
The Birthday Reminder app from the iPhone will let you download all of the same information from Facebook that has your friend’s birthdays so you can see birthday updates off-line. I had the luxury of going on a fall vacation, and I was feeling pretty good because my main concern was not getting too sunburned. Of course, if any of my coworkers heard me say that, they would absolutely kill me since they were back at the office working so hard. I had a little plan in place. I can tan pretty well, but I am still a pretty pale person. I decided that I would apply sunblock every hour to make sure that I didn’t get completely crispy. I also would listen to a certain amount of songs on my iPod, like 10 songs, so I would remember when to apply sunblock.
If you are someone who loves sitting in the sun and listening to your iPod, then you are going to absolutely love this little trick. Either set the timer on your iPhone, or listen to a certain amount of songs on your iPhone or iPod, and then you can remember to apply sunblock so that you don’t get sunburned. The only catch to this is that you can’t fall asleep because that would ruin the plan completely. This is pretty much the only thing that you have to worry about when you’re relaxing in the sun on your vacation!

Oh, the addiction of having an iPhone! I promise you that everywhere I go, I see people all over the place on their iPhones. No matter what you are using it for – shopping, gadget reboot, or even Facebook, it is a very popular device. I have to admit that I was at first very reluctant to turn to the dark side and start using an iPhone. I did have a contract with AT&T, so it was readily available to me. I guess I just wanted to be that person that stays in the past and uses my regular old cell phone.
I was kind of thinking that the iPhone was probably not as cool as it was hyped up to be, but I was wrong. It was much better! I was just thinking that Apple was cleverly creating all of these commercials to seduce us into buying this device, but it really is an awesome and amazing device. I use it for all sorts of things, but most of the time, I just dawdle on my iPhone and obsess over Facebook. Maybe that is actually a bad thing, and one reason why I should not have gotten this device, but now it’s too late!
