I feel like I am finally experiencing my city for the first time! If you have lived in your town for a little while, yet feel burned out like you have done everything there is to do, you may want to download the Near to Here iPhone app. This is a fantastic choice at around two dollars, and it gives you information about stuff to do nearby. I started out by using it in my own city to do a little bit of fun exploration, but it will tell you the 411 anywhere that you are at.
As an example, if you are traveling in New York City, it will tell you detailed information about what to do nearby, including the best landmarks. You can consider this to be your pocket tour guide, and it can be used all over the world. Oftentimes, it is so easy to overlook something interesting in your neck of the woods, or even when you travel to a new city. This is your opportunity to begin to unearth new sights, especially if you want to try out something different within your own town. Maybe you haven’t visited a specific landmark in your city since the fifth grade, so why not try it again?

If you are ready to cook like Martha, you can now do so for less than a dollar. I personally find Martha Stewart somewhat intimidating, especially since her recipes and decorating tips seem pretty complicated. The odd part is that she does them so effortlessly, so you are the fool if you can’t do them just as well. Maybe this iPhone app will be exactly what you have been looking for to help you become the next Martha Stewart!
It will give you a number of quick dinner recipes, and they also come with special tips from team Martha Stewart. There are recipe choices available for seasonal items and other cuisine choices. You can also use this app to create your own shopping list when you are buying special and fancy ingredients. Conveniently enough, you will be able to add all of the ingredients of a specific recipe to your shopping list with one touch. In fact, if you whip up something quite amazing, you can pass the recipe on to family members and friends through this convenient iPhone app so that they can try it themselves at any time. It’s times like these that you ask yourself what would Martha do?

Does Bill Gates not like the iPad? Apparently, Bill Gates was not a fan of the iPad that was introduced by Apple at the end of January. He feels that the iPad is targeting a demographic that wants to own a tablet type PC and that the new iPad has shortcomings. He feels that it should have more features, like a literal keyboard, a pen, and other accessories. Right now, he is only seeing the iPad as a device to read electronic books instead of being so much more.
Regardless of your feelings about the iPad, it presents a quick way for you to read books, and on top of that, use all of the tools within an iPod touch in a larger screen. This is something that many people are going to love because it is smaller and more compact than a laptop, but it is as sleek and convenient as an iPhone or iPod touch. If you are the user of an iPad, you are still going to need iPad repair as an option, so it is great news to know that there are many reputable companies online that can offer this professional service. This is the help you need if you crack your screen on this new device!

It must have something to do with my childhood, but I am constantly craving macaroni and cheese! Truly delicious… I decided to look up an interesting recipe for gourmet macaroni and cheese on my iPhone to impress friends of mine at a dinner party. Everyone likes comfort foods, so I decided to make it even more fun, and I texted everyone on my iPhone to bring a fancy version of their favorite comfort dish. I guess you could say that this idea was breaking out a little bit of the Top Chef in me because it sounds like one of their challenges.
I have to tell anyone out there that has not yet tried gourmet macaroni and cheese that it is absolutely addicting! There are a number of different ways to make it, but why not get even more fancy and use different cheeses that you may not have ever tried before? You can also use different types of macaroni pasta, like whole grain, spinach pasta, or even pasta that is gluten free. I ended up finding a wealth of recipes in an iPhone app, and I went for a richer taste in a mixture of Romano, Gorgonzola, and Mozzarella cheeses. Mmm…

With the new iPad coming onto the market, it seems that Amazon and Apple could easily become enemies. Of course, Amazon already sells a device similar to read books with called the Kindle. This has been the quickest and hottest way for people to take advantage of reading e-books, especially since the screen of the iPhone is so small and difficult to use to read downloadable PDFs.
It seems that this new netbook is a larger version of the iPod touch, and it runs around $500. Apple itself is not a fan of netbooks, but this is yet another version of a device for personal use. It is not supposed to work as a replacement for the iPod or iPhone, but it is supposed to be a cross breed of a device similar to a laptop that has a large enough screen to enjoy books on. It seems to be directly related to the Kindle to be used for chilling at home, reading in bed, or reading on an airplane. If you are already a fan of your iPhone, then you may want to try this device, but make sure that you have some iPad repair site on hand to help you out if the big screen cracks!

Even though I may not seem like the type, I like to do a little bit of casual shopping on my iPhone. Lately, one of my areas of interest has been in finding unique items to add to my home. One of the coolest that I have found so far in surfing for interesting items to buy on my iPhone is the bloody lamp. This is a distinctive design that looks like blood is spilling out of the lamp in the form of an overturned bucket. This is something that will definitely catch people off guard when they come to your home, and it will also work as a great conversation piece.
I don’t know why it intrigues me, but I am just the type of person that likes something a little different than the norm, and this is something that you cannot find at Target. It is a pretty expensive lamp because it is a new design from Japan, and it costs over $200. It has two different styles available, and it can be put on a tabletop, or even mounted on the wall. At the very least, check out this interesting piece as a gift for someone special in your life who will appreciate something one-of-a-kind!

Your body is quite an interesting instrument, and I’m sure you know by now what kind of strange things that you can do to stop the hiccups. I decided to take things a step further and look up interesting body tricks on my iPhone that may actually surprise you.
First of all, if you are absolutely petrified of needles, try coughing when you are getting a shot. This is something that will cause a rise to the pressure in your chest that can inhibit pain. Next on the list, if you have a stuffed up nose, then you can easily relieve this pressure by thrusting your tongue toward the roof of your mouth, and then pressing one finger between your eyebrows. Alternate these motions, and it will cause the congestion to loosen in no time!
If you happen to be feeling dizzy from drinking too much, put your hand on a stable object. This will help you to balance out, and since your hand is full of nerves, it will dispel the dizziness more quickly. Lastly, if you are someone who gets a side stitch when you are running, then exhale when your left foot hits the ground, and it will relieve this issue right away! Tricky…

I have to admit that I am completely addicted to Pandora, which is why I was intrigued with the newer Midomi iPhone app I recently downloaded. This is a similar music app, but it has different features than Pandora. For instance, you may be wanting to enter an artist into Pandora, like a song that you heard on Grey’s Anatomy the night before. What are you going to do if you can’t think of who sang it, or what the song was called?
Midomi allows you to sing part of the song into your iPhone, and it will try to tell you what it is. You can also speak the name of the song title or artist to find out more about the artist to pinpoint what song you are looking for. You can also type in a song title or artist for a more accurate selection than speaking your search phrase. And the best part of all is that you can hold your iPhone directly at the TV when you’re watching Grey’s Anatomy so that this app can tell you exactly what song it is, and add it to your playlist. Technology at its best, and even better, it is free!

If you are a normal grocery shopper at Super Target, then you may have employed the use of your iPhone from time to time. The iPhone is more than convenient when it comes to grocery shopping because you can accumulate your list over the week by typing it into your phone without having to get disorganized and lose a scrap sheet of paper.
As an update, Target is making some changes in the new year, starting with selling wholesale and bulk items, just like Costco. This is something that is going until February, and it is supposed to attract more customers who shop at bulk locations like Wal-Mart and Costco. This is not a permanent fixture for Target, but it is only a post holiday marketing ploy to get more people in the doors who are purchasing bulk from other warehouse locations. Depending on your grocery shopping needs, this could be good news or bad news. If you are someone who absolutely loves Cosco and wants to do all of your shopping in one place, then why not try it out? However, if you were trying to avoid the big wholesale atmosphere by shopping in a superstore like Super Target, then tough luck until the end of February.
